Sarah Teale
Writer, Facilitator, Director

I am a writer/theatre maker based emotionally in Wigan but physically in London.

I create work with No Door Theatre in Manchester and with anyone who will have me in London.

It is normally about anxiety or grief or some sort of silliness.

I also lead writing / drama / lego / flowermaking / robotics workshops.

Some of my favourite works:

MY MUM'S DEAD BOY
FRIEND

ACE funded R&D in Manchester (support from HOME theatre, Box of Tricks, and national/local grief charities including 42nd Street and Cruse).

The play is about grieving non-nuclearly. The two characters (Sarah & said mum’s boyfriend) are staging a show to celebrate their relationship. BUT whatever life they try to live it is blown-up by his death.

DO YOU FANCY THEM OR ARE THEY JUST IN THE VICINITY

A sparkly gameshow about how ADHD affects your love life. Debuted at the Glitch as part of A Pinch of Vault Festival in February 2024, and came back as part of the inaugural Croydon Fringe in November 2024.

Silly hats and silly heartbreak and silly attempts to play with form.

FOX, DROPS & PANDA POPS

A queer theatrical grief rave.

Shortlisted for the Lancaster Playwriting Prize, selection of the inaugural Bullet Point pitches and performed as part of Engine Room at the Clapham Omnibus.
